Superleague Formula will make the first of three scheduled visits to Spain at the weekend for round four of this season’s championship.
Liverpool’s championship-winning Superleague Formula car has been put through its paces by driver James Walker in a demonstration along the city’s Strand waterfront.
Superleague Formula championship leader Craig Dolby will start tomorrow’s first Magny-Cours race on pole after come-from-behind victories in qualifying against Yelmer Buurman and Sebastien Bourdais.
Davide Rigon won one of the main races and also the €100,000 superfinal as Superleague visited Assen – but it was Tottenham Hotspur’s Craig Dolby who came away from the Netherlands with an extended championship lead.

Craig Dolby took a dominating victory in Superleague Formula’s €100,000 Silverstone super final to cap an impressive day during which he won the first race and charged through from the back to take fourth in the reverse-grid second race.
Max Wissel took pole for the first Superleague meeting of the weekend, knocking out Sebastian Bourdais, home favourite Craig Dolby and Virgin F1 refugee Alvaro Parente on the way.
Some said it was a joke and it wouldn’t last. But Superleague Formula, the football-themed racing championship with cars branded to match leading soccer clubs, begins its biggest season yet with three races at Silverstone this weekend.
