F1: Super Aguri’s sponsorship woes threaten Davidson’s season

Potentially bad news for Anthony Davidson and his fans. It is reported that Aguri Suzuki, Super Aguri team principal, is having to tighten his belt following the failure of a sponsor to cough up a considerable sum of promised cash.
This is rumoured to have led to a freeze in the team’s development budget and a considerably smaller presence at the season’s remaining races.
This creates an interesting dilemma reminiscent of the good old days of another plucky back-marker team, the much-mourned and perpetually cash-strapped Minardi.
If Super Aguri is one of the top 10 teams at the end of the season it wins some prize dosh. One team that it will need to stay ahead of to do that is… Honda.
Hmmm.
Here, we’re asking ourselves whether Davidson will ever be able to catch a lucky break.
