Fantasy F1: Kubica and Heidfeld give Brits on Pole huge points boost

Oh, yes! The recent off-a-cliff decline of the Brits on Pole McLaren Grand Prix League team has been dramatically reversed thanks to great performances by our drivers and teams in Montreal.
BMW’s one-two, Coulthard’s third place and Trulli’s sixth mean we scored a grand total of 395 points this week – by far our best points haul, and also the highest since the season opener in Australia.
It raised our current score to 2,325 and catapulted us 4,788 places up the standings to position 9,731 (of 19,621 players).
We’re still a good distance behind the leaders – the highest-scoring team is currently juve.F1 with 2,890 points.
Some poor driver choices and the unwise decision to go big on Anthony Davidson and Super Aguri mean our season’s never going to set the world on fire.
One reason that we find fantasy sports a slightly taxing pursuit is because the tiniest decision is magnified to huge proportions thanks to the the ratio between the high numbers playing and the small number of variables that affect scores.
But, at the moment, we love it! At least for the two weeks until Magny-Cours.
