Europe’s terrible summer continues to serve up the prospect of excitement for F1 fans with the Italian Grand Prix the latest to be the subject of a wet-weather forecast.
Heavy showers are currently predicted for all three days of the race weekend – an unlikely prospect for a venue which almost always enjoys sunny weather.
Rain has spiced up a number of events on the 2008 calendar – not least last weekend’s race at Spa-Francorchamps, when a thrilling late-lap drama was unleashed by a sudden storm.
Of course, the fallout from that one is still going on, and has left many fans less than keen to switch on to Italy – rain or no rain.
The Monza circuit lies a few miles north-east of Milan, so weather reports for that city are the ones to check. Read the BBC’s five-day forecast for Milan here. Click on the above link to keep up with the very latest weather news.
