Brits on Pole

Looks like things are finally starting to firm up a bit. Here’s Christian Horner who you do hope, given that he is Red Bull team principal, might actually be close enough to the centre of things to be in the know.

He said this to Spanish radio:

“Our drivers are under contract in 2008. Alonso will end up at Renault.

We are pleased to be linked to Alonso, it shows the progress that we have made in the last two years.

“But Renault are the only team next to Toyota who have a free space and who have not announced their drivers for next season.”

Let’s just hope that Renault don’t spoil things by getting busted for millions of dollars in espionage fines and put up for sale…
