The A1GP series is reminding fans that the time has come round for its annual awards – and this year it wants your vote in no less than four categories.

Billed as a chance to commemorate the season’s action packed-racing and to reward its outstanding performances, the awards aim to recognise the talent that has competed all the way down the grid – and not just on the first row.

So we’re sure you’ll be able to find some excuse to vote for Team GBR and its drivers.

The awards are usually handed out according to a ruling by panel of experts. But this year the series is inviting fans to weigh in with their views.

It means that more awards will be decided by public vote than ever before. Series organisers say: “While we already know the gold, silver and bronze medal winners this season, there are a host of more subjective awards.

“A1GP.com and a panel of experts have made a short list for each category for you to decide over — but the ultimate winners will be up to you.”

The awards up for grabs are:

  • Most improved team
  • Best Rookie or new driver (includes Danny Watts)
  • Best overtaking move of the season (includes Dan Clarke)
  • A1GP.com readers’ favourite team (free vote)

To check out the names of the nominees, and to cast your vote, visit A1GP.com. Hurry up – you’ve only got two weeks as the closing date is June 5.
