F1: Hamilton on the price of fame


For those of you that are getting a bit sick of hearing about Lewis Hamilton – well, don’t make the mistake of thinking this young man has it easy.

All the pressures of wealth, fame and dealing with backbiting Continental divas at the tender age of 22. And it is starting to get to him.


Which is possibly why he let this one slip during a recent “in-depth” interview with the BBC:

I go to the bathroom in a petrol station and people come in there for autographs.

Our view: he wants to be thankful it’s only autographs they’re after. In America, political careers have foundered on much less…
