F1: Button wants a 2009 title shot
We’ve a hunch, here at Brits on Pole, that we are currently looking at the definitive turning point in Jenson Button’s career. In a year or two, we suspect, we’ll know whether his recent statements about how Honda should be aiming for a title in 2009 were right on the nail, or whether he was playing on a very dusty wicket indeed (to confuse our sporting terminology for a moment). And, at this point, it’s completely impossible to tell which it will be.

F1: Richards confirms Prodrive are out
Prodrive boss David Richards has confirmed that his company is unlikely to be participating in Formula One racing in the foreseeable future. Speaking at the Autosport International Show, he said that the new Concorde Agreement which will govern the next few years of the sport, has effectively ruled out customer teams.
F1: Hamilton hails ‘fantastic’ new ride
Lewis Hamilton’s had his first go in the new McLaren MP4-23 during a testing session at Jerez – and he seems pretty pleased with the outcome. He hailed the session as ‘fantastic’ – and was clearly keen to take his turn behind the wheel after finding himself third in line behind fellow drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Pedro de la Rosa for a crack at the circuit.

Champ Car: Wilson and Dalziel take on Daytona challenge
