Will Jenson Button be in the running for this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year? Will the Formula One World Champion fight off the likes of heavyweight boxing champion David Haye, Ashes-winning cricket captain Andrew Strauss or Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle?
Well, here’s your chance to find out in person. The BBC is set to make its final batch of tickets for the Sheffield event available tomorrow. An added bonus is that one of the presenters is set to be Jake Humphrey.
According to the BBC’s website, the initial ticket allocation for the show sold out but 3,000 more seats have been made available to create a total audience of around 11,000 people. It says tickets go on sale tomorrow for the December 13 show at 9am GMT and can be booked by calling the Sheffield Arena box office on 0114 256 5656 or through its website at http://www.sheffieldarena.co.uk.
As well as a chance to cheer on Jense – should he be among the yet-to-be-announced finalists – you might like to support Sarah Moore in the Young Personality award after she won this year’s Ginetta Juniors. She’s definitely made the top 10 (Jake Humphrey was among the judges) and could be a real name to watch in the future.
And if Brawn GP doesn’t win Team of the Year then there’s no justice in the world.
