Ouch! 7000-place fantasy league slump for BoP

Well, that didn’t go too well. Despite scoring almost as many points as in Australia, the Malaysian Grand Prix saw the Brits on Pole team plunge down the rankings in the McLaren Grand Prix League.

Well, we said we’d be straight and up-front about how it was going…

Our team has 672 points after two races, which is good enough for 8346th place. That’s a drop of 6956 places in a week.

That’s the sort of form that would have the press gleefully sharpening their pencils if we were football managers.

It’s not difficult to see how it happened. This is Brits on Pole, so naturally we stocked up on drivers like Anthony Davidson and both of Frank Williams’ boys. That didn’t leave a lot of room for anyone dressed in red.

Adrian Sutil’s not looking such a good investment at the moment, either. Thanks heavens we went big on BMW too.

What? They own Rolls Royce and the Mini, don’t they? What could be more British than that?
