Dare you venture Over the White Line?

,

A few things have changed with our Over the White Line feature since we started sending it out in newsletter form – and we thought you might enjoy hearing about them.

Or you could go straight to the sign-up page – just follow this link >>

It all started as a way to add a bit of interest to the F1 off-season. The original Over the White Line was a weekly round-up of bizarre racing news, humour and links that fell outside our usual remit of reporting on British drivers in open-wheel racing.

Earlier this year we switched it to newsletter format to coincide with the launch of our F1 ebook rounding up all our coverage from Lewis Hamilton’s World Championship season. All subscribers are given the opportunity to download a free copy as a thank-you from us.

And the new-look Over the White Line seems to be quite popular, for which we are very grateful. Since most of the people who sign up do so after learning about it via Twitter we wanted to make sure people visiting the site directly or reading via RSS feed also got to have a crack at it.

There have been a few changes to the newsletter since we last mentioned it here, and it now comes in a much smarter HTML format, with all the latest on site updates, competitions and special features on top of as much petrolhead and motorsport news, gossip and humour as we can pack in.

Of course we’ll never do anything with your email address that we wouldn’t want done with our own, and you’ll be able to unsubscribe at any time you like.

And just to show how much we appreciate your subscription, we’re launching a summer giveaway.

Every reader who signs up for the newsletter between now and midnight GMT on July 31 will have their name put in the hat to win a Ferrari/Shell British Grand Prix goody bag from our recent paddock tour. (We got two and, er, don’t support the red team anyway, so it’s up for grabs. Oh – and we’ve eaten the mints, sorry.)

And yes, we have taken account of the fact you may be in America or Australia. Little green aliens, however, need not apply.

If you’d like to see what you’re getting by subscribing to the newsletter then take a look at a sample copy here.

An important proviso follows. If you do decide to sign up, you’ll receive an email with a confirmation link. Your subscription is not activated until you click on that link. We can only accept validated sign-ups as giveaway entries because we need to be sure you actually do want the newsletter too.

You might find it helps to whitelist the email address mailings [at] brits on pole [dot] com (editing that address to remove the anti-spam harvesting measures). Drop us a line if you have any problems.

We look forward very much to you joining us – over the white line.
