What’s on: racing calendar

Welcome to our racing calendar for the 2010 season. Instead of presenting a list of each series’ dates, as we did last year, our aim is to bring you an at-a-glance overview of what motorsport events are taking place on any given weekend. The focus is, of course, on the major open-wheel series including F1, GP2 and GP3, F2, British F3, World Series by Renault, F3 Euroseries and Superleague Formula. From America we bring you IndyCar, Indy Lights, the Atlantic Championship and the Star Mazda series.

The calendar also includes testing and one-off events of interest to motorsport fans including, for example, Goodwood’s three summer spectaculars, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Silverstone Classic. And, by popular demand, we have also added the BTCC. We hope you find it useful – as ever, we’d like to hear any feedback you have about using it.

Commercial inclusions

If you have a commercial event that you would like to advertise to an audience of motorsport fans, please contact us for our ratecard. We’re also happy to hear about not-for-profit events – please use the same contact link if you want to let us know about something.

A note about A1GP

A1GP announced a provisional season five calendar on September 21. It included nine dates – but subsequent financial problems meant the first round in Australia was cancelled and the next two, in China and Malaysia, were postponed indefinitely. At time of writing it is not known whether the rest of the dates will go ahead. This section will be updated with any developments.
