Here’s the video of the announcement of Justin Wilson and Mike Conway as Dreyer & Reinbold’s new driver pairing, with co-owner Robbie Buhl predicting they’ll push each other to make it one of the team’s best-ever seasons.
Wilson, who joins the team from Dale Coyne Racing, says the decision to leave the popular underdogs was a tough one but the timing was right, both in terms of his career and in joining a team that is on the verge of a big improvement.
“I’m really excited to work with Mike, I think he’s a really fast driver,” says Wilson. “He’s gaining experience all the time – I think we could be really good for each other.”
Conway, who struggled at times in his rookie year, says he believes there is momentum to carry forward from late-season improvements: “I hope we can bring two quick drivers and speed the process up that little bit more. He’s got a lot of experience here in America, racing on ovals, he’s had that extra year on me, so it’s great to learn from him.”
