Timo Glock destroyed Giorgio Pantano’s hopes of a fourth straight Monza win with a textbook drive to secure maximum points from race two, while Adam Carroll broke his front wing early on but recovered to set the fastest lap of the race.

Pantano’s eventful weekend ended with his post-race disqualification for ignoring a black-and-orange flag calling him into the pits for repairs after a collision four laps from the end. He finished sixth on the track but loses the point he would have earned.

Super Nova’s British driver Mike Conway finished 10th on the track, breaking a run of poor results in recent races, despite a spin at the parabolica.

Adam Carroll had a better time in race two than in race one. Despite a clash that took out his front wing he managed to bring the car home 15th on track, the last finisher to avoid being lapped, and also to take a point for the fastest lap of the race.
