F1: Coulthard to quit after Monza?

Sad news for DC fans this morning – it looks like the veteran Scot might not even make it to the end of this season.
Several F1 sites are reporting the ‘paddock rumour’ that he’s set to hand over to Sebastian Vettel, his replacement from Toro Rosso, after the Italian Grand Prix on September 14.
This would open things up for the new Toro Rosso driver, currently slated to be either Red Bull tester Sebastien Buemi or endlessly lucky Super Aguri refugee Takuma Sato, to get his eye in before 2009.
That means DC’s fans would only get to see him drive twice more – and he wouldn’t get a crack at the new Singapore street circuit.
We stress that this is no more than a rumour at the moment, and – like the false rumour that DC was set to swap places with Nelson Piquet Jr – may have been dreamed up by people who can make two plus two add up to sixty-five.
But we really, really hope that Coulthard makes it through to the end of the season.
