The sixth entrant in this year’s McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year competition has been named - Aaron Steele joins the shortlist after winning the last open spot in a Formula Palmer Audi shootout.

And so our year in McLaren’s Grand Prix League competition comes to an end. We had fun, did moderately well - and learned a few handy lessons for next year. Here they are.

Never mind Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa. As we come to the close of the 2008 season, let’s not forget about all those fantasy F1 players who are on tenterhooks to find out how they’re going to do in their respective leagues.

We’d like to bring you an update on the Brits on Pole team’s recent performance in McLaren’s Grand Prix League 2008 fantasy F1 competition - but there’s a slight hitch.

We’ve been a bit lax recently in sticking with our promise to report our progress in the McLaren Grand Prix League fantasy F1 competition - in fact, we haven’t updated since Germany. So here’s a quick post about what’s happened in the last two races.

Logging into our McLaren Grand Prix League 2008 team account has been a bit less of a chore recently since our season took a welcome turn for the better round about the British Grand Prix. Much like Lewis Hamilton’s, really.
