Team Ireland will spend Christmas as A1GP championship leaders after Adam Carroll converted his Sepang feature race pole position into victory.

It was business as usual for defending A1GP champion Neel Jani and Indycar star Marco Andretti in the sprint race at Sepang, Malaysia, as the Swiss star won from pole and the American took out two rivals in a spectacular crash.

Team GBR and the Irish will again be locked together on the A1GP grid, qualifying first and second in Sepang for tomorrow’s feature race, and sixth and seventh for the sprint.

Team GB pilot Danny Watts has laid down a marker for this weekend’s event in Sepang, Malaysia, after topping the timesheets in the first rookie practice session and then improving on that to take the fastest lap of the weekend so far.

Japanese driver Keisuke Kunimoto has taken a surprise victory in the Macau Grand Prix F3 event - the second year in a row that his Tom’s Team squad has won there. However, it was far from a classic year for the six British drivers taking part.
