We’ve all moaned and complained, cursed the ad breaks and laughed uproariously at the unintended bloopers. But the Brits on Pole team has thoroughly enjoyed the last 12 years of Formula One coverage from ITV - and we’d like to say thank you.

So, does Hamilton have any chance at all of tying up the title this weekend? Or will some combination of Massa, Raikkonen, poor tyre choices, his own team’s blunders and the race stewards prise it out of his hot little hands?

Lewis Hamilton’s been getting a fair bit of stick recently, so it was nice to read this analysis of his Turkish Grand Prix performance from Mark Blundell in The Telegraph.

For most of us it’s very difficult to imagine what it must have felt like to be in Heikki Kovalainen’s McLaren when it hit the barriers at the Circuit de Catalunya at 150 miles per hour. But one or two of his F1 colleagues have been on hand to explain - and to recall being in similar crashes.
