F1: Jerez testing report - day one (Jan 14)
Drivers keen to get to grips with their 2008 cars and get some laps under their belts faced initial disappointment on the first day of the latest F1 testing session at the 2.75-mile Jerez circuit. Heavy overnight rain that continued into the morning hampered testing by the nine Formula One teams that were present on Monday.

The BMW Sauber team shone on the first day of testing at Jerez on Tuesday, with Nick Heidfeld putting in the fastest lap of the day. He was closely followed by Jenson Button for Honda, who came in a little more than a tenth of a second behind him.
