To say that it’s not been a vintage year for British drivers in GP2 is something of an understatement. Our only regular starter has Mike Conway at Trident Racing, experiencing a pretty frustrating season. Brits on Pole takes a look at how he fared.

Mike Conway’s hopes of a second victory from pole position were dashed at a wet and slippery Magny-Cours, where success went to the teams that made the right tyre choices and the drivers who were best at sticking to the track.

Adam Carroll’s hopes of winning the GP2 Turkish sprint race from pole ended with an early gearbox failure - but the prize for unlucky exits went to Bruna Senna, eliminated from the race after he hit a stray dog on the track.
